Mark spoke with the staff, well the ones that were able to get her through the storm, yesterday. The conversation surrounded cell phone safety and highlighted the dangers of using a cell phone on the job.
Distracted driving is not the only danger of a cell phone. Mark cited an incident in BC where an engineer was fatally injured on the job site while using a cell phone when hit by a truck.

- in an instant of checking a message, you aren’t just endangering yourself, but co-workers.
- A forklift is a vehicle.
- Keep your cell phone in you locker to keep everybody safe.
- Make sure that family know the proper channels to contact you in an emergency.
